Roles & Requirements
To ensure we continue to deliver quality programing, the PMHA needs volunteers to fill the following roles: Coaches, Managers, Trainers, Female Reps. and Coordinators.
All Volunteers MUST complete the following:
1. PMHA & Hockey Canada Volunteer Registration:
o Complete annually to identify the volunteer role you are interested in.

2. RNC Criminal Records Check (CRC) & Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC):
o Expires every three (3) seasons.
o Volunteers must upload the PMHA Volunteer Letter when applying, to waive the fee and ensure clearance is sent directly to PMHA.
o We do NOT accept copies of RNC checks received for other organizations or sports.
o Recomendation: Apply early!

3. Hockey NL Screening Application:
o Expires every three (3) seasons.
o Complete all seven (7) pages of application and email to registrar@paradiseminorhockey.ca

4. Respect in Sport (RiS) - Activity Leader:
o NOTE: As of July 9, 2024, Hockey NL requires RiS be completed and showing on a volunteer’s HCR profile (found under the “Qualification” Tab), before they can be rostered to a team. *Coordinators do not require this course.

Hockey Canada Coaching Clinics:
o Required coaching clinics vary based on divisions, teams, and Head Coaches vs. Assistant Coaches
o Be sure to complete the appropriate clinics!

Junior Coaches:
• Must be at least 13 years of age and registered as a player with PMHA.
• No training/courses required.
• Must wear helmet with cage, neck guard, gloves, stick, skates and track suit while volunteering.

Reimbursements:
· Course fees must be paid by the attendee, to be reimbursed by PMHA upon completion of course.
· To receive reimbursement, submit the following to admin@paradiseminorhockey.ca
o Receipt showing proof of payment.
o Proof of completion/certification of course.
